| Energy Conservation Promotions Representative The Summerhill Group is dedicated to developing, implementing and managing public engagement and market transformation programs that lead to measurable improvements in energy savings. Summerhill Group works with Clean Air Foundation in the delivery of programs designed to improve energy efficiency and encourage conservation. Currently we are seeking numerous field representatives to join our marketing teams at various locations with multiple retailers across Saskatchewan. Summerhill Group is looking for outgoing, energetic and dynamic individuals to deliver an energy conservation campaign, highlighting Seasonal LED light strings. Key responsibilities will include travel to store locations, set up of event facilities, and providing customer service and education support through our program. Responsibilities: • Facilitate a product recycling program • Working as part of a team, engage store customers in discussions about the program • Provide education regarding energy use and conservation – training to be provided • Take part in mandatory program training through one of the following methods: - Regina reps to attend in-person training on October 25th from 10am – 3pm - Saskatoon reps to attend in-person training on October 26th from 10am – 3pm - All reps in other regions of Saskatchewan to complete online training through WebX (2 hours compensated for self directed study time, flexible schedule) • Regina and Saskatoon reps to make a 2 hour store visit to drop off signage and talk to store manager after training/prior to campaign • Work four in store shifts Saturday and Sunday November 1 – 2 and 8 - 9. All shifts will run from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm daily • Complete administration and daily/weekly reports as required • Greet customers and provide program specific education • Assist with management of large crowds of program participants Qualifications/Job Requirements: • Outgoing personality – must be able to proactively approach consumers and engage them in conversation • Positive personality – must leave the public with a clear directive on how they can make a difference in a positive way • Be interested in, and genuinely concerned about energy conservation issues and/or other environmental issues • Currently enrolled in, or completed post-secondary education • Detail-oriented, punctual, conscientious • A friendly and professional manner and appearance. • Ability to multitask • Committed to providing exceptional customer service • Ability to recognize significant or sensitive issues and when to escalate to the Project Team Lead or Manager • Ability to set up, assemble and move displays and other program materials (some lifting will be required) • Ability to check, tally and accurately account for coupons and prepare for managerial approval • Able to work weekends and irregular hours • Able to take part in a self directed online training program Type of Employment: Part-time, Short-term, Contract November 2008 Wage: $13 per hour Location: Multiple retailers and locations in Saskatchewan (including Saskatoon, Regina, Estevan, Prince Albert, Moosejaw, Lloydminster, Swift Current, North Battleford, Weyburn and Yorkton) Job Contact Information: please apply online at summerhillgroup.ca in the careers section for specific store locations.
