| Safety Manager Responsibilities The Safety Manager ensures site compliance with Government Regulations and the companies Safety Standards, coordinates and maintains Site / Transport Emergency Response, Process Safety Management and Security Plans. • Monitor and ensure site compliance with government regulations and the companies Safety Standards • Evaluate, monitor, develop and implement site Safety Improvement Strategies and Plans • Coordinate, maintain and test the On / Off-site Emergency Response Plans and Transportation Emergency Response Plans (including relationship with Transport Canada and Toronto Logistics) • Responsible for site Security and Process Safety Management • Represent the Saskatoon plant on the company Safety Committee and the Occupational Health and Safety Committee Qualifications • Holds a current registration as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional • Minimum 10 years of experience in Safety Management (ideally in the chemical or other industrial workplace) and related experience in Industrial / Transportation Emergency Response, Security and PSM • Certification in Health and/or Safety disciplines (i.e. Canadian Registered Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist) is an asset • Solid knowledge and functional experience of current regulatory requirements in Occupational Health and Safety Skills/Competencies: • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, persuasiveness • Good organizational skills • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written • Self-starter, demonstrates initiative • Able to maintain technical knowledge We thank all applicants for their interest, however only candidates that meet the essential requirements will be contacted for interview.
