| Merchandiser & Counsellor Merchandiser & Counsellor (Seasonal Positions – Range of 15 - 22 hrs/wk) **Positions available in several locations across Canada! (see below)** Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Merchandiser/Counsellor (M&C) is responsible for providing world-class service to the Company’s retail partners and its’ customers. This includes merchandising, performing consumer counselling, conducting store sets and construction of promotional materials. Consumer counselling responsibilities consist of educating consumers and retail customers on the selection and use of Scotts products. This role works closely with the Sales Manager and store personnel to provide input and feedback on sales related issues, opportunities and inventory needs. This position is Part-Time and Full-time from February to around September (for our Season). The successful candidates will have: • Excellent presentation, interpersonal and customer service/selling skills • Ability to fluently read, write and speak English (fluency in French required in Quebec areas) • Must be able to lift, push and pull up to 54 kg (120 lbs.) on a regular basis • Ability to climb a 2-4 meter (8-12 ft.) ladder and reach overhead • Frequent evening and weekend work is necessary • Current, valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally by car (mileage is reimbursed) • Must have daily access to a computer with high-speed internet capabilities and have basic computer skills • Good organization and planning skills • Strong initiative and able to work independently with little supervision • Personal interest in gardening or horticulture is strongly preferred • High School Diploma • Your values mirror ours: Passionate.
