| Business Analyst - Temporary Business Analyst - Temporary Bombardier Aerospace, Military Aviation Training (MAT), a world leader in providing integrated military training solutions, requires a highly motivated professional to become part of the Integrated Solutions and Technology Team supporting one of the world’s best pilot training with the NFTC Flying Training in Canada program at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. This Business Analyst position is a temporary term position working 8 hours per day (Monday through Friday). The length of the temporary term is 6 months. The Business Analyst will support the upgrade to the Electronic Fleet Management System. This role will include some systems engineering and application support activities. Aspects of the position include: Analysis • Support Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the documentation of use cases. Design • Maintain traceability from customer requirements to proposed solutions and to the acceptance test requirements and results. • Support the baseline design activities. • Support formal and informal test and acceptance activities. [Design, document, conduct, report and interpret, as required.] • Update application support documentation. • Support the creation of Site Activation Plan, Disaster Recovery Plan, VAL/VER plan, It infrastructure design , etc., required by regulatory authority for go-live approval. Deploy • Facilitate change management with end-users. • Coordinate with affected stakeholders, to help ensure that business system solutions are deployed effectively and that their intended use is well understood. • Document, validate and deploy processes for the end-use and maintenance of the application. • Resolve issues encountered by data transcription team. • Support installation/execution of database scripts, incremental releases and patches. • Participate in project close-out activities including Lessons Learned and vendor contract close-out. Maintain • For business system deployed under the project: • Manage user accounts and security levels • Identify/raise visibility of data issues during day to day business • Handle support calls Training • Identification and selection of training resources. • Preparation of training schedules. • Preparation of training materials for application support functions. • Management of training resources. • Delivery of application support training. Testing • Design test cases and scenarios. • Administer test cases. • Document bugs for submission to developers, and track them to closure. Reports • Document report specifications. • Design and implement reports or queries from database systems. You will have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science or related field or a Diploma in Business Information Systems (BIS). A minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst is required. Project management experience is preferable and strong documentation skills are required. A good working knowledge of web technologies and software configuration management, knowledge of relational databases (Oracle 10g), and knowledge of reporting tools (such as Crystal Reports and Microsoft Access) is an asset.
