| Sales Associate SALES ASSOCIATE OPPORTUNITY!!! Our client is a vibrant and exciting commercial media company with interests in broadcast television and online video properties. As an entrepreneurial company They've developed new products and processes that service local communities as well provide media tools to small and medium sized companies. As they enter the next stage of growth an exciting opportunity is available for right individual that possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and the willingness to share in the vision!!! Below is our clients wish list, however attitude is key and as such with the right candidate who has that attitude, they are excited to teach!!! This opportunity is a part-time position to start but for the right person can give the ability to graduate into Full time! Knowledge - Knowledge of commercial sales, media sales, radio and or Television sales. - Above average working Computer knowledge of Microsoft suite. MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and others. - Business Development techniques and initiatives such as cold calling, cold meeting, social calling. - Knowledge of the Southwest region with knowledge of Western Canada as a whole, pertaining to rural life, and urban western life. - Diploma, degree or certification in relevant broadcasting industry would be an asset but not a must. Skills - Skills in Developing annual sales plans and budgets pertaining to the business. - Skills in developing sales strategies for seasonal advertisers. - Identifying strategies to access coop advertising dollars. - Working with crown corporations, coops and credit unions. - Working with small, and medium to large businesses. - Strong Networking skills is a must. - Account reconciliation, and or collecting payments from customers Abilities - the ability to understand small business and working within a small business. - Self motivated, and extremely driven, self starter - Ability to work and stay motivated with little supervision - Ability to connect and create strong relationships very quickly with community, the region, our current and potential customers. - Identify clientele and or potential customers for our suite of services. - Attend local and regional functions and establishing contacts during these functions. Personal Suitability - Entrepreneurial spirit! - Friendly and Outgoing - Adaptable to diverse personalities and situations. - Creative - Stress tolerant. Other: Travel will be required and from time to time there will be expectation that some events will require you to attend outside of regular working hours. Time in Lieu will be provided to the position during off-peak times where business permits. The position will be supplied with travel expenses and vehicle when travel is expected under the employee policy manual; Travel Policy. You must have a valid drivers license that is applicable under the province of Saskatchewan. | |
